There are many local attractions in southern Spain that you should know about before you depart for a vacation there. Learning spanish guitar from someone in Spain would be a rewarding and memorable experience, so if you are a guitar player you may want to think about looking for that while you are there.

If you are interested in going to southern Spain it is a good idea to get into some spanish music so that you know what to expect. For the region of southern Spain specifically, it is all about the guitar. When you walk through the streets of Granada you will see all sorts of guitar and music shops and maybe even some people playing on the sides of the streets.

Free Things To Do In Southern Spain
One thing that many people do not realize about traveling is that there are plenty of things to do for free. This is true of anywhere, and it's true of southern Spain.
Often people feel like the point of going somewhere is to spend lots of money on activities and items and things like that, but beyond the money you pay to get there and eat and sleep, there really shouldn't be that much more of a cost. Most of the genuine and enjoyable activities you can think of are free, or close to free.
Going on a walk for example if often the best way to experience a new land. You get to enjoy the outdoors and really sense the area. You can smell the smell, see what's going on, and hear it all as well. This is not true if you are just zipping by on a bus or in a car, though that can be nice too. Try going somewhere and just taking a leisurely walk and then stopping by a cafe or something for lunch. This is just as fulfilling as any guided tour or tourist trap, even more so.
Most of the time you'll find that doing thing for free gets you off the beaten path, and this is a great thing as I said in the previous post. The best things to find in a southern Spain vacation or any type of vacation will be away from where all the tourists are going.
You could also try joining in a game that locals are playing. In Spain, I played basketball and soccer on different occasions with some people my age, and that is often the most rewarding type of thing you can do, and it's free of course. Developing a connection with someone from the place you are visiting is usually free, and that is something really special that you will remember.
